CEO, Aramco Ventures (Venture Capital) at Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures

Mahdi Aladel has worked in the energy industry since 1998. Starting in Aramco as a Refinery Process Engineering Group Leader, they then moved to Chevron as a Process Engineer in 2005. In 2007, they returned to Aramco as a Corporate Strategist, Downstream Liaison, Reservoir Engineer, Lead Production Engineer, and Supervisor Manufacturing Planning & Economic Unit. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Motiva Enterprises LLC as Manager of Enterprise Strategy and Performance. MAHDI then moved to Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company-Luberef as a Member Board of Directors from 2018 to 2020. In 2022, they joined OGCI Climate Investments (CI) as a Member Board of Directors, and currently serves as the CEO of Aramco Ventures (Venture Capital).

Mahi Aladel's education history includes a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University (2000-2002), an MBA from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (1998-2005), a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (1994-1998), a High School degree from Dhahran Ahliyya Schools (1990-1993), and a Saudi Aramco - Harvard Business School Management Development Seminar from Harvard Business School Executive Education (2019). Additionally, they have an Advanced Management Program certification from INSEAD Executive Education (obtained in October 2016).
