Gwen Hines has extensive experience in the field of international development. Gwen most recently served as the Chief Executive of Save the Children UK since July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director of Global Programmes at Save the Children UK from March 2018 to June 2021. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of International Relations at the Department for International Development from September 2015 to February 2018. Gwen also held the position of Executive Director for the UK at the World Bank from September 2012 to August 2015. Additionally, they served as a Country Director at the Department for International Development from July 2008 to August 2012. Gwen Hines has demonstrated leadership and expertise in international development through their various roles.

Gwen Hines completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Oxford from 1993 to 1996.
