Thurston Stone

Thurston Stone has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Thurston started their career as a Program Analyst at Computer Sciences Corporation in 1999, where they created and optimized build systems for VC6 applications. Thurston then joined Homecomings Financial in 2003 as an Account Manager, improving department efficiency and partnering with homeowners to prevent mortgage delinquency and foreclosures.

In 2005, Thurston joined Hewlett-Packard and held multiple roles, including Build Technician, Build Engineer, and Systems/Software Engineer. Thurston was responsible for maintaining the automated compilation process, streamlining the efficiency of the production-level build system, and implementing code quality processes such as code reviews and automated unit tests.

Thurston then joined Verizon (formerly XO Communications) in 2013 as a Configuration Management Engineer. In this role, they improved the configuration management processes and implemented automated deployments using Ansible and Docker.

Starting in 2019, Thurston worked as a DevOps Engineer at TEKsystems and PestRoutes Software, where they contributed to the development and maintenance of DevOps systems and practices.

Most recently, Thurston joined Flexion Inc. in 2021 as a DevOps Engineer and is currently working as a Distinguished Engineer at Saviynt since 2023.

Thurston Stone completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Rowan University. Thurston attended Rowan University from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Thurston Stone obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 4 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2018.
