Abhijit Thakur

Abhijit Thakur has extensive experience in software engineering and quality assurance. Abhijit began their career at Ness Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. as a Software Development Engineer in Test, where they created automation scripts and reduced manual testing cycles. Abhijit also worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, involved in creating automation scripts using SELENIUM RC with Cuke4Duke framework.

Thakur then joined Ness USA Inc. as a Software Development Engineer Test Lead, where they drove both automated and manual test efforts and mentored junior engineers.

Abhijit later worked at Pearson as a Software Development Engineer Test Lead and then as a Manager of Software Engineering, Quality. In these roles, they contributed to delivering high-quality solutions, collaborated with various teams, and introduced improved tools and processes.

Currently, Thakur is employed at Savvas Learning Company as the Director of Software Engineering. Their responsibilities include managing high-quality deliverables, evaluating test architecture and automation framework, and formulating QA/QE best practices.

Abhijit Thakur completed their education at various institutions. From 2003 to 2006, they attended Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) where they earned a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree with a focus on Computers Applications. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, they studied at Wilson College Chowpatty Mumbai 400 007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Abhijit Thakur pursued additional certifications. Abhijit obtained a certification from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and also obtained a certification in Verified International Academic Qualifications from the World Education Services (WES).

Currently, Abhijit Thakur is pursuing an Executive MBA degree in Information Technology at Ottawa University. The exact completion year of this program is not provided.
