Burton Perkins

Burton Perkins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Burton joined Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning) in 2019 as a Director of Software Development. Prior to that, they worked at Pearson for nearly 10 years in the same position. At Pearson, their responsibilities included hiring engineering teams, making architectural and technical decisions, ensuring product release readiness, and managing customer support. Burton also had ownership of the EasyBridge platform and various data analytics and reporting products. Before Pearson, Burton worked at Intuit, Inc. from 1998 to 2009 as an Initiative Leader. Burton'sprimary focus was on building a SaaS offering for QuickBooks customers, where they managed a significant budget and a large team. Earlier in their career, Burton worked at Corel Inc. as a Product Leader for Corel WordPerfect for Macintosh, and at WordPerfect Corporation as an Engineering Manager. At both companies, they were involved in team management, hiring, and delivering new functionality for software products. Burton started their career at Rockwell International, where they worked on coding custom CAD software components for use in NASA and Air Force projects. Overall, Burton Perkins has a strong background in software development, team management, and product ownership, with experience across various industries.

Burton Perkins attended Brigham Young University from 1980 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Design Engineering Technology.
