Jason Sterlace has a diverse work experience in the field of education and physics. Jason currently works as a Co Author for Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning) since 2020. Prior to this, they served as an Education Specialist for the Department of Physics and Astronomy at James Madison University from 2019. In this role, they taught physics and pedagogy, hired and supervised Learning Assistants and physics tutors. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Physics Teacher in Residence at James Madison University. Before that, they were a Nanotechnology Fellow at MathScience Innovation Center from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Physics/STEM Teacher at St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA from 2013 to 2016 and as a teacher of physics and chemistry at Henrico County Public Schools from 2003 to 2013. Prior to their career in education, Jason served in the United States Navy as an Electrician's Mate from 1993 to 1999, where they worked in the Nuclear Propulsion program.

Jason Sterlace completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued Nuclear/Nuclear Power Technology/Technician studies from NFAS, NNPS from 1993 to 1995. Jason also earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Social Sciences from Jamestown Community College from 1992 to 1993. Jason completed their high school education from 1987 to 1991.
