Jennifer M.

Jennifer M. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jennifer began their career in 2012 as a Support Services-Response to Intervention Teacher at Thomas Metcalf School, where they provided intense reading and math interventions to tier 3 students. Jennifer also administered AIMSweb universal screening tool school-wide. Jennifer then moved on to work at Morris Elementary School District #54, where they filled long-term maternity leaves in 3rd grade, 1st grade, and kindergarten, fulfilling all expectations of a classroom teacher.

In 2015, Jennifer joined LINCOLN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT 27 as a 3rd & 5th Grade Teacher, teaching all subject areas to students. Jennifer collaborated with a team of teachers to modify curriculum based on Common Core State Standards and aimed to create a safe learning environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Jennifer further expanded their teaching experience at Troy Community Consolidated School District 30C, where they taught 5th Grade ELA and encouraged students to learn, grow, and persevere through challenges. Jennifer regularly collaborated with a team of teachers to meet the needs of all students.

Jennifer also worked as an Illinois Math and Science Partnership for a year at Regional Office of Education 17.

In 2020, Jennifer joined Comfort First Heating and Cooling, Inc as a Telemarketing Sales Representative/Secretary. Their responsibilities in this role are not specified.

Jennifer's most recent role is with Illinois State University, where they began working as an Instructional Assistant Professor in August 2022.
