Michael Sherrod M.ed

Michael Sherrod, M.Ed has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Michael began their career as a Customer Service Agent at Shuttle America Airlines in 2000. Michael then transitioned to Allegheny Airlines Inc, where they served as a Customer Service Agent and later as a Shift Manager from 2001 to 2003.

In 2005, Michael joined Herbert H Landy Insurance Agency as an Underwriter, where they worked until 2009. Michael then shifted towards education, starting as a Teacher at Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy in 2010. There, they taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics and incorporated technology in their lessons.

From 2013 to 2016, Michael worked as a Math Teacher at Braintree Public Schools, collaborating with department members and utilizing differentiated instruction strategies. Michael then joined Pearson K-12 Learning in 2016 as a Curriculum Specialist, contributing to revenue targets, and maintaining content level expertise through professional development and certification processes.

Currently, Michael is employed at Savvas Learning Company, where they started in 2019 as a Curriculum Specialist (K12 Math / Science) and was promoted to the position of Senior Curriculum Specialist in July 2021.

Michael Sherrod, M.Ed, earned a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Middle School Math from American International College, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Aviation Management from Daniel Webster College, attending from 1995 to 1999.
