Teresa Forbes

Teresa Forbes has a strong background in writing and editing, with experience in proposal writing, content coordination, and news editing. Teresa started their career as a Copy Editor/Page Designer at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1999, where they edited news stories, designed news pages, and served as a copy chief and wire page editor. Teresa then worked as a Special Sections Editor at Omaha World-Herald from 2007 to 2010, where they coordinated and edited content for various special section publications and reported on various topics. Teresa then joined StrategicHealthSolutions in 2010, where they worked as a Writer Editor, writing and editing proposal content for federal contracts and collaborating with proposal managers and subject matter experts. Currently, they are a Proposal Writer at Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning) since 2014.

Teresa Forbes obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa from 1983 to 1986. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies at North Iowa Area Community College from 1981 to 1983. In addition to their formal education, Teresa also holds additional certifications in "Learning to Write for the Web" obtained in June 2017 and "Writing Marketing Copy" obtained through Lynda.com in June 2017.
