Tony Porterfield

Tony Porterfield, CISSP, currently serves as the Principal Cloud and Application Security Architect at Savvas Learning Company since August 2023. Previously, Tony held the role of Principal Cloud Solutions Architect at Rapid7 from October 2020 to August 2023 and worked as a Security Architect at Cisco from May 2019 to October 2020. Further experience includes serving as Principal Architect for Security and Identity at Pearson from May 2016 to May 2019, with a focus on security and privacy protections for K-12 learning products. Tony's career also encompasses positions as Principal Engineer at Ascava, Sr Technical Lead Engineer at Cisco, and Sr Member of Technical Staff at Vihana, inc. Additionally, Tony has held positions as a Sr Software Engineer at Riverstone Networks and Intel Corporation. Educational qualifications include an MS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Penn State University.
