Matt H. has a diverse work experience in the energy industry spanning several decades. Matt began their career in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Mechanical O&M Supervisor, managing a PWR steam-propulsion plant.
After their military service, Matt H. worked as a Director of Project Development at LS Power, where they successfully developed large-scale energy projects and advocated for clean energy initiatives.
Matt then went on to work at SolarReserve as a VP of Project Management & Construction, overseeing the deployment of solar-thermal and solar-PV projects globally.
Matt H. later co-founded increment power, a startup focused on long-duration energy storage. Although the company faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they aimed to provide reliable and sustainable electricity during the transition to zero-carbon electricity.
Matt also held various roles at ENGIE North America Inc., including VP of Asset Development and VP of What's Next, where they led the development of utility-scale solar PV projects and championed the company's strategy in green hydrogen energy.
Matt H. then became a Founding Partner at Bootstrap Energy, a company dedicated to developing projects that accelerate the transition to zero carbon. After a hiatus, the company relaunched in 2021.
Currently, they are working as the Chief Operating Officer at Saxet Infrastructure Group, where they are responsible for building a world-class data center complex and hosting services for bitcoin, GPU, and high-performance computing. The company aims to provide an unparalleled hosting experience and offers clients flexibility in energy procurement.
From 1985 to 1987, Matt H. attended the US Navy Nuclear Power Program. During this time, they focused on studying Nuclear Propulsion within the field of Mechanical (Enlisted).
