Paola Madau is an accomplished professional in the field of drug discovery and electrophysiology, currently serving as an Ion Channel Project Manager and Electrophysiology Team Leader at SB Drug Discovery since September 2013. Previously, Paola held the position of Senior Scientist at Merck, MSD, where responsibilities included assay development within the ion channels group. Prior to that, Paola worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Dundee, focusing on the characterization of novel agents acting on neural proteins. Early career experience includes serving as the head of the laboratory of physical and chemical analysis at Calcidrata S.p.A. in Italy and being a post-doctoral student at the Università di Cagliari, where Paola earned a Master-Diploma in Neuropharmacology. Paola holds a Laurea in Scienze Biologiche from Università degli Studi di Cagliari and completed classical and ancient studies at Liceo Classico Siotto Pintor.
