Karin Sjölund has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Karin began their career as a Merchandiser and part-time Shop Manager at Nordic Safari Märkesbutiken from 2000 to 2002. Karin then worked as an Accounting Assistant at Stora Enso in 2004 and as a Procurement Assistant at Södra in 2007.
In 2008, Karin joined Ericsson and held various positions, including On the Job Training AT&T Task Force North America from April 2009 to July 2009, Portfolio Management in the WCDMA Project Office from May 2008 to September 2010, Change and Innovation Manager in PLM from September 2010 to September 2011, and Project Manager for PLM's Agile Transformation from September 2011 to June 2012.
Karin then went on to work at H&M from May 2017 to June 2020, where they were a Staff Responsible. Most recently, they joined SBAB in June 2020 as a Project Manager in HR.
In 2014, Karin returned to Ericsson and served as a Section Manager from November 2014 to April 2017. Karin also worked as an Agile Coach from January 2014 to October 2014, where they were a member of the PLM leadership team and coached teams and individuals through teaching, facilitating, professional coaching, and servant leadership.
Karin Sjölund's education history includes a variety of experiences in different institutions and fields of study. Karin began their education in 2000 at Lincoln Highschool in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, USA, where they excelled as an honor student in science and art. After completing their high school education in 2002, Karin attended Stockholm School of Economics from 2002 to 2007, earning a Master's degree in Finance. During their studies, they had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge by participating in an exchange semester at University of St.Gallen in 2006, specializing in Change Management and Finance. In the same year, Karin also undertook German Studies at the Goethe Institute in Schwäbische Hall, Germany. Additionally, Karin enhanced their skill set by obtaining an ACC Associate Certified Coach certification from Leapfrog coaching, specializing in Coaching and being recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
