Zijian Hu

Zijian Hu is a Machine Learning Research Engineer currently co-leading research and implementation efforts for large-scale LLM post-training and the development of Scale AI's in-house LLM training framework at Scale AI since July 2024. Prior experience includes leading the development of a 1.6B-parameter LLM and a federated LLM training framework at TensorOpera AI from April 2023 to July 2024. Zijian contributed to multimodal video content understanding and various learning methodologies at ByteDance and TikTok from October 2021 to March 2023. Earlier, at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, Zijian engaged in research on computer vision and learning paradigms from September 2020 to October 2021. Zijian holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
