Alessandro Defranco

Alessandro Defranco is currently a BIM Specialist at Scaled Robotics. Prior to that, they worked as a BIM Designer at IDP Ingeniería, Medio ambiente y Arquitectura from November 2016 to July 2021. Their responsibilities at IDP included BIM consulting, training collaborators from different countries, and being responsible for the BEP (Bim Execution Plan) of an important Retail Chain. Alessandro also developed skills in Data Management (Business Intelligence) applied to BIM.

As BIM COORDINATOR, Alessandro was responsible for coordinating projects through the BIM methodology (3D), managing a team to realize the BIM model of an important shopping centre of Barcelona, and developing a strategy for Facility Management. Alessandro also has experience in developing architectural and MEP models of industrial warehouses, cooperating between all agents involved in projects, and using point clouds to design models. Additionally, they are skilled in 4D time simulations and 5D budget estimation of works directly from models.

Through their various roles in the engineering and construction industry, Alessandro has developed strong skills in collaborative work, quick problem identification, and troubleshooting.

Alessandro Defranco has a long list of educational accomplishments. Alessandro has a BIM Management Steering degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Posgrado en BIM Management degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Master's degree in Building Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche, and a Master of Architecture from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. Alessandro also has a Bachelor's degree in Building Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche. In addition, they have completed the Summer of Unreal Engine 2022 from butic The New School and has a Master's degree in Project Management from Structuralia. Finally, they have a certification from butic The New School in Workshop oficial de Autodesk en desarrollo sobre la API de Revit con C# para NO programadores.

They are on a team with Gjeorgjia Lilo - Senior AEC Coordinator & BIM Tamer, Michele Di Maggio - BIM Specialist, and Aparecida Argüello - AEC Specialist. Alessandro Defranco reports to Bharath Sankaran, CTO.
