Your mission should you choose to accept it.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle. This role involves more than just transaction reconciliation; it requires a deep understanding of our business operations, invoices, and expenses. The ideal candidate will not only process transactions but also proactively work collaboratively cross functionally.

Responsibilities.

Transaction Reconciliation

• Reconcile high-volume transactions from various sources, including bank statements, Expensify, and Float
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and matched with corresponding invoices and expenses

Invoice Management

• Review, verify, and process invoices in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices
• Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and aligned with the company’s expense policies

Expense Management

• Oversee the expense management tool (Expensify) to ensure employee expenses are processed accurately and efficiently
• Review expense reports for accuracy, compliance, and completeness

Payment Processing

• Prepare and process payments (electronic and/or credit card)
• Monitor and manage the company’s virtual credit card platform (Float) for expense allocations and limits

Month End & Audit Support

• Analyze payable transactions to provide insights into spending patterns and variances

• Assist in the preparation of month-end closing procedures

Qualifications.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a SaaS or high-tech environment

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
• Proficiency in using financial software and tools, including ERP systems (Netsuite experience is ideal), Expensify, and Float
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
