Candida Valois

Candida Valois has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Candida currently works at Scality as a Field CTO, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at EMC as a Senior Technology Consultant, specializing in Cloud-based Object Storage Systems, from May 2012 to December 2014. Before EMC, Candida worked at IBM for a significant period. Their roles at IBM include Senior IT Specialist, Managing Consultant, and Staff Software Engineer. Their responsibilities involved pre-sales support, leading customer engagements, mentoring, and coordinating development processes. Candida also gained experience at FedEx Corporation as a Software Developer, where they worked on internal applications for package tracking and system integration.

Candida Valois completed their education at the University of Miami from 1998 to 2002, where they studied Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from Coursera. In April 2019, they completed the "Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation" and "Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services" courses. Candida also obtained the "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure" certification in April 2019. In the following months, they completed two more certifications: "Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation" in May 2019 and "Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Containers and Services" in June 2019.
