Timothy Dean

Timothy Dean is a Principal Software Engineer at Scarlet, starting in December 2023, following a role as Founding Engineer at Red Planet Labs from October 2021 to November 2023. Prior to that, Timothy served as Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Lumanu, contributing to a platform for brands and creators, and as Senior Software Engineer at Workiva, where work involved developing a distributed database for a SaaS platform. Early career experience includes software development at eCatholic and founding Dean's Tutor List, facilitating connections between private tutors and K-12 students. Timothy’s academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Montana State University-Bozeman and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Classical Philology from The University of Dallas, with additional coursework at the University of Oxford in Classics.
