Cassie Hedrick

Principal Software Engineer at Scentsy

Cassie Hedrick has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Cassie began their career as an intern at McLaughlin Research Institute, working with the American Cancer Society. Cassie then served as an Office Assistant at the University of Montana's Davidson Honors College and later at Montana State University's Foundation.

In 2007, Cassie joined Micron Technology as an Intern Software Engineer, where they developed web applications and converted Visual Basic applications to C# applications.

From 2008 to 2011, they worked at Blackfin, first as a Software Engineer, responsible for developing web applications using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and Drupal frameworks, and later as a Senior Consultant, leading client meetings and acting as the lead developer for several web applications and Drupal websites.

In 2011, Cassie started their tenure at Xtreme Consulting Group, Inc. as a Senior Consultant. Here, they continued to lead client meetings and served as the lead developer for ASP.NET MVC web applications and Drupal websites.

Since 2016, Cassie has been associated with Scentsy, Inc., where they have held various roles. Cassie started as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for developing and maintaining web applications and RESTful Web APIs. Cassie then became a Software Engineering Manager, leading the eCommerce team and participating in design and code reviews. Currently, Cassie serves as the Principal Software Engineer, contributing to the development and enhancement of web applications at Scentsy, Inc.

Throughout their career, Cassie has demonstrated proficiency in ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS/LESS, JavaScript frameworks, and database management with Microsoft SQL Server. Cassie has also shown their aptitude for leading teams, mentoring other developers, and actively participating in Agile/Scrum processes.

Cassie Hedrick completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Montana State University-Bozeman, between the years 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they attended the University of Montana from 2003 to 2004. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer and Microsoft Certified Professional in 2013, Microsoft Specialist in 2013, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in 2020.
