Hesham Hanafi

Hesham Hanafi is the Director, Recruiting at Schmidt Futures where he leads the strategic planning and execution of talent acquisition. Prior to Schmidt Futures, he was the Director of Recruiting and Executive Search at Audible, an Amazon company. In this role, he worked closely with executive leadership to build out many new functions and create Audible’s first Hollywood studio.

Previous to Audible, Hesham led non-technical and sales recruiting for Yodle. Reporting directly to the founder, he led teams through a hiring surge ahead of an eventual acquisition by Web.com. Hesham began his recruiting career with the global search firm, Michael Page, before joining UBS to help grow their best-in-class wealth management business after a major leadership change post-financial crisis.

Hesham has a B.S. from New York University where he studied organizational development and political science.
