Danilo Šegan

Danilo Šegan has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Danilo started their career in 2005 as the spokesperson for the GNOME Translation Project. Danilo then worked at Canonical Ltd. from 2006 to 2011, where they were a software developer on Launchpad.net and later led a team of engineers on Launchpad Translations. In 2011, they joined Linaro as an Infrastructure Tech Lead and later became the Automation & Validation Engineering Manager.

In 2013, Danilo returned to Canonical Ltd. as a Cloud Engineer, working on Canonical Juju. Danilo also worked as a Software Engineer on Landscape, a web application for remote management of Ubuntu machines, and on MAAS, a hardware-as-a-service layer.

From 2019 to 2021, Danilo worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hotjar, followed by a role as a Senior Backend Engineer at Close from 2021 to 2022.

In 2020, they did consulting work at Izmisao before joining Schneider Electric Hub in 2023 as a Technical Team Lead. Finally, they also joined EnergySage in 2023 as a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead.

Danilo Šegan attended the Mathematical Gymnasium from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued their higher education at the University of Belgrade from 2001 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
