Carlos Melendez has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Carlos began their career at Sonoaudio as an Instructor/Salesperson and worked there from January 2006 to August 2011. Carlos then gained legal experience as a Junior Lawyer and Legal Intern at Escritorio Juridico Alianza from October 2013 to July 2014.

In 2015, Carlos worked as a Hall of Fame Intern at Cincinnati Reds, where they contributed to marketing strategies leading up to the 2015 MLB All-Star Game and increased Hall of Fame membership through targeted advertisements and sales calls. Later that year, they joined Thunderbird School of Global Management as a Project Coordinator at Thunderbird for Good, where they played a key role in processing applications, managing social media campaigns, and raising overall awareness for Project Artemis, a business education program for Afghan women.

Carlos's marketing skills were further honed during their time as a Marketing Intern at San Diego Padres in 2016. Carlos established communications in Spanish with organizations in Mexico, assisted with community marketing efforts, and supported public relations operations during the 2016 MLB All-Star Game.

In the same year, Carlos served as a Marketing Strategist at Augmented Realty Group, where they developed marketing plans for a virtual reality startup, created brand identities and websites, and managed a direct mail campaign to extend brand recognition within the target audience.

Carlos also worked as a Marketing Consultant at Tappetite in 2016, where they developed a marketing plan for a home-baked goods delivery app, designed a website, and launched targeted Facebook ads to increase brand awareness and achieve a 10% increase in downloads.

From April 2016 to February 2017, they worked as a Lead Generator at Diamond Resorts International®, contributing to lead generation efforts.

Carlos's most recent position is as a Chief Marketing Officer at Schola, starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of Enrollment Analysis/School Growth and Engagement, where they conducted statistical analysis, created and maintained automated reporting and dashboards, and ideated operational process flows to support product launches and solve ongoing operational problems at scale. Additionally, they have been an alumni of SeedSpot Phoenix and LearnLaunch Accelerator.
