Shawn Hoffman

Shawn Hoffman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2010, they worked as a TEFL English Teacher at Profilingua and later moved on to become an English Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator at Madrid School of Languages. In 2012, Shawn joined Comunidad de Madrid as a Language and Culture Assistant until 2015. During this time, they also founded MIFOOD and served as its Co-founder and Business Developer until 2020. Shawn then took on the role of Head of North American Development and International Relations at Atomic Internet from 2015 to 2016. From 2009 to 2017, they worked as a Web Consultant and Administrator at BTC Institute. In 2013, Shawn began working as a Freelance English/Spanish Translator, Interpreter, Transcriptionist, and Proofreader, and they also worked as a Startup Business Development Specialist until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business Development at Schola, where they have been since 2021.

Shawn Hoffman completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison from 2004 to 2008. Following this, from 2012 to 2013, Shawn pursued a Master's degree in Intercultural Communication, Public Services Interpreting, and Translation at the University of Alcalá. In addition to these academic achievements, Shawn attended the ASU GSV Summit in August 2021 as an attendee.
