District 45 serves a diverse student body of more than 3,400 children from Villa Park, Lombard, Oakbrook Terrace and Elmhurst. The District employs more than 400 highly-qualified staff dedicated to our seven core values. Each building is well-maintained, providing the most conducive environment for learning. Our District Mission is collaborating to ensure high levels of learning for all. Our Vision in District 45 is a collaborative community preparing students to successfully navigate a dynamic world. We include an emphasis on personalized learning, STEM, the fine arts, and extra-curricular opportunities allowing all students to connect with both the school and their peers. The Instructional Team at School District 45 focuses on developing and implementing effective curriculum and instructional strategies to enhance student learning. Comprising members such as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, teachers, instructional coaches, literacy leaders, and coordinators, the team collaborates to support personalized learning, improve literacy, and integrate STEM and fine arts into the curriculum. They also provide professional development for staff to ensure high levels of learning for all students, including bilingual and dual language learners.
