Gloshanda Lawyer, PhD, serves as Co-Founder and Co-Researcher at Myers & Lawyer since May 2022, and as Founder, Researcher, Consultant, and Multilingual Interpreter at COCOA Language, Advocacy and Consulting, LLC since September 2020. Additionally, Gloshanda maintains a role as a Professional Spanish Translator at Schreiber Translations, Inc. since August 2013. Previous academic positions include Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator at Utah Valley University from August 2021 to July 2022 and Assistant Professor at Lamar University from July 2018 to March 2021. Gloshanda has extensive experience as a Spanish Interpreter in various settings, including medical, educational, and human services environments, and has a background in special education as a Birth-3 Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Deaf Education and Social Justice from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with a Master's degree in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education and a Bachelor's degree in Individualized Studies from the University of Minnesota.
