Stephan Ruoff

Co-head Private Debt & Credit Alternatives; Chairman ILS at Schroders Capital

Stephan Ruoff currently serves as Co-Head of Private Debt & Credit Alternatives and Chairman of ILS at Schroders Capital since October 2023. Prior to this role, Stephan held the position of Global Head of Schroders Capital ILS and Deputy Head of Schroder Secquaero from November 2019 to March 2024. Before joining Schroders, Stephan was the Chief Executive Officer at Tokio Millennium Re AG from October 2011 to March 2019, where responsibilities also included serving as Group Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Europe. Additional experience includes a tenure as Non-Executive Director at Tokio Marine Kiln and as Executive Client Manager at Munich Re. Academic qualifications include a Diplom in Versicherungsmanagement from the University of St.Gallen, a Diplôme from École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, and a Diplom-Ingenieurin in Verfahrenstechnik from Technische Universität Berlin.
