David Bains

David Bains has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. David started their career in 2005 as a Software Consultant at iMeta Technologies Ltd. In 2009, they worked as a Senior Developer at Charles Taylor plc before moving to Barclays Investment Bank, where they served as a Development Team Lead from 2009 to 2012. Since 2012, David has been working at Schroders, starting as a Principal Analyst Developer in Equities IT. David then transitioned to a role as a Principal Analyst Developer in Systematic Investments Quantitative Technology, eventually becoming a Development Team Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Engineering Lead - Investment Technology.

David Bains attended the University of Southampton from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition, they have earned additional certifications, including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2022, the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2022, the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the CFA Institute, and the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) I from Scrum.org.
