Shi-Yi Liu

SVP, Corporate Communications at Schrödinger

Shi-Yi Liu, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, joined Schrödinger in 1997 and helped to create the QA and Marketing organizations during the company's early days. She also worked on the company's sales in Japan by first managing the distributors and later the formation of Schrödinger, KK in 2011. Shi-Yi led the Marketing team at Schrödinger for over 20 years, and is now focusing on the company's growing communications needs. She received her Ph.D. in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1987. She worked at Allied-Signal as a computational chemist before becoming a founding member of the CAChe Group. In her position as Principal Chemist, she authored the molecular mechanics and molecular dynamics programs of CAChe Scientific. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Washington.
