Chief Sustainability Officer / Director Of Events at Schupan & Sons

Jessica Loding, CMP has over 5 years of work experience in event management and sustainability. Jessica worked at Schupan & Sons, Inc. from 2015 to present, where they served as the Chief Sustainability Officer / Director of Events. In this role, they oversaw a portfolio of over 76 projects, diverting more than 275 tons of material annually from the landfill. Jessica also assisted organizations and events in achieving their triple bottom line. Prior to this role, they worked as the Assistant Director of Events at Schupan & Sons, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Jessica coordinated event logistics for large and small scale clients, introduced sustainable tourism programming, and provided operational oversight in sustainable event management. Jessica also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Michigan Cares for Tourism since 2019. Additionally, they held the position of Director of Operations at Furman University from 2013 to 2014 and at Ohio University from 2012 to 2013.

Jessica Loding, CMP has a strong educational background in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Jessica obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Michigan State University, graduating in 2009. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further specialization in the field, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the same university in 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jessica has also obtained a certification as a Certified Meeting Professional from the Convention Industry Council in August 2016. This certification showcases their expertise and knowledge in the field of event planning and management.
