Rishi Rajendra Gandhi is a dedicated researcher and student in the fields of biology and astrobiology, currently serving as a member of the Ocean Society of India, Mangrove Society of India, and Astrobiology Society of Britain since 2022. As a peer reviewer for Science Publishing Group since November 2021 and an AcSIR Ph.D. scholar at CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography, Rishi focuses on the isolation and characterization of novel polyextremophiles under the guidance of Dr. Rakhee D Sinai Khandeparker. Rishi's leadership as General Secretary of Sethu at the National Institute of Oceanography led to the launch of various initiatives, including the Oceans Scholars Meet and community health camps. Previous experiences include serving as an Analog Astronaut at HABITAT MARTE and pursuing a thesis on Wnt signalling activity at IISER Bhopal, where Rishi earned an Integrated BS-MS in Biological Sciences.
