Christiaan Buitendach

Christiaan Buitendach has over two decades of work experience in various technology leadership roles. Christiaan is currently serving as the Vice President - Global Technology Operations, Information Security at Science 37, where they are responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy to support clinical trial operations. Prior to this role, Christiaan worked as the Senior Director - Head of Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Data and Analytics at Javara, where they established a foundational cloud data platform. Christiaan also had a long tenure at IQVIA, where they held several senior IT roles, including Senior Director IT - Head of IT to Biotechnology and FSP Business Units and Director IT - Global Head of End User Computing and Digital Workplace Services. In these roles, they supported the technology needs of the company's business units, implemented innovative technology solutions, and managed global end-user technologies. Christiaan also served as the Associate Director IT - Head of IT Sub-Saharan Africa Region at IQVIA, where they expanded operations into Africa. Christiaan began their career as a Software Product Manager / Corporate Account Manager at PC Palace.

Christiaan Buitendach earned a Bachelor's degree (B.SC) in Computer Sciences from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, studying from 1998 to 2003.
