Michael Peeters

Michael Peeters is a virologist with extensive experience in various research projects and collaborations. Currently working at Sciensano, Michael is responsible for overseeing the National Reference Center for hepatitis viruses and human papillomaviruses. Additionally, Michael collaborates with the National Reference Center for Hepatitis viruses, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and the Laboratory for Rabies. With a background in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, including a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Université catholique de Louvain, Michael has also demonstrated strong project management skills, team collaboration, and a track record of research grants and publications.
