Stephani Sutherland

Stephani Sutherland is a seasoned freelance science journalist with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University. With extensive communication experience, Sutherland specializes in making complex scientific concepts accessible to diverse audiences, including scientists, clinicians, patients, and the general public. Current roles include contributions to Scientific American and Pain Research Forum, as well as serving as a features writer for Scientific American MIND Magazine. Sutherland has previously held significant positions at multiple institutions, including an adjunct faculty role at Washington State University Vancouver, and has contributed to various prominent publications, including The Journal of Neuroscience. In addition to a strong foundation in science writing, Sutherland also holds a yoga teacher training certification.
