Missy Callahan

Missy Callahan has a strong background in scientific and medical communications. Missy is currently working as a Senior Scientific Director at Scimentum since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at Lockwood starting in February 2019. Before that, they were a Scientific Director at Lockwood from July 2017. Missy also gained experience as a Medical Director at Impact Communications from July 2016 to June 2017. Missy began their career as a Senior Scientific Director at ProEd Communications in 2005, where they focused on providing scientific support to pharmaceutical clients and external experts. Missy's previous role was as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cleveland Clinic Neurosciences, where they led the development of an in vitro blood-brain barrier model and studied leukocyte migration in individuals with multiple sclerosis.

Missy Callahan completed their education at Penn State University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Microbiology. Missy'sstudies at Penn State University took place from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from Virginia Tech, graduating from there in 1995.
