Luana F. Nascimento

Luana F. Nascimento is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in dosimetry and radiation physics. Currently at SCK-CEN since 2009, Luana specializes in the development of dosimetric systems for patient dosimetry in radiotherapy, incorporating luminescence techniques and solid state dosimetry. Past roles include a visiting researcher at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences and a visiting scholar at Oklahoma State University, as well as positions in software testing and research assistance at various institutions. Luana holds multiple advanced degrees, including Ph.D. qualifications from Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and has a strong educational background in Physics and Medical Physics from leading Brazilian universities.
