Dmitriy Medvezhonkov has over 18 years of work experience. Dmitriy began their career in 2002 as a Technical Specialist at Simplex LLC. In 2005, they moved to Melentiev Energy Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where they worked as an Engineer and Scientific Researcher. Dmitriy'sresearch focused on computational and applied mathematics, and they were responsible for the modernization of numerical optimization algorithms using the duality theory. In 2008, they began teaching at Irkutsk State University. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Delcam, where they were responsible for error detection and correction, updating and refactoring the code of the ‘Delcam PostProcessor’, as well as solving algorithmic problems related to the geometry of the machine. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at Autodesk, where they developed and modernized the ‘Autodesk Manufacturing Post Processor Utility’, which generated a sequence of commands for multiaxis CNC machines. Dmitriy was also responsible for analysis and debugging of the source code, bug fixes, algorithm improvements, and new functionality creation. Since 2018, they have been working as an Intermediate Desktop Developer (Remote) at Scopic Software, where they work in a group of software engineers on FlashCut project, developing CAD/CAM software, and is responsible for bug fixes, implementation of new functionality, and refactoring.

Dmitriy Medvezhonkov obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the Melentiev Energy Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2013, specializing in Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and complexes of programs. Dmitriy then obtained their Master's degree in Electric power engineering from Irkutsk National Research Technical University in 2012. Dmitriy also holds a degree from Irkutsk State University in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from 2005.
