Santanu Kumar Dutta

Santanu Kumar Dutta currently serves as the Head of Underwriting & Claims for Hong Kong & Taiwan at SCOR since April 2024. Previously, Dutta held the position of Director of Underwriting at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated from September 2018 to January 2024, where responsibilities included developing underwriting solutions for automating processes and enhancing customer onboarding. Dutta also worked as Vice President at Peak Re from February 2014 to August 2018, setting up the underwriting and claims functions for the Life & Health reinsurance business. Earlier experience includes serving as DGM at ING Vysya Life Insurance, leading a technology-driven modernization of the central underwriting department, and as Senior Manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, managing a regional underwriting hub. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
