Stefan Förster has extensive work experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Stefan is currently the Head of P&M Reinsurance APAC at SCOR since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Chief Pricing Actuary at SCOR from January 2018 to June 2022. Before joining SCOR, Stefan worked at Munich Re Singapore Branch Office, where they held the positions of Head of Property Treaty Underwriting from September 2014 to December 2017 and Head of Casualty & Marine Underwriting from January 2013 to August 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked at Munich Re as a Senior Underwriter Casualty / Deputy Head of Department from January 2009 to December 2012. Stefan also gained experience at Swiss Re as a Client Manager / Head of German Globals 2 from February 2001 to December 2008. Stefan started their career as an Actuary at BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG in October and November 2000. Stefan's early experience includes working as an Underwriter at Munich Re from June 1999 to September 2000 and at Bavarian Re as a Client Manager from July 1996 to May 1999, as well as an Underwriter from August 1992 to June 1996.

Stefan Förster has a diverse education history. Stefan obtained a degree in Actuary (Aktuar DAV) specializing in Insurance Mathematics from the German Actuarial Association (Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung) in 1995. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Business Administration, earning a Dipl.-Math. oec. Univ. from the University of Augsburg between 1987 and 1992. Stefan Förster completed their university entrance diploma (Allgemeine Hochschulreife) at Dossenberger-Gymnasium Günzburg from 1977 to 1986. Additionally, they obtained certification in Preventing Discrimination & Harassment from Traliant in 2022.
