Ariel Andres, CFA, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Scotiabank since January 2022, focusing on quantitative analysis. Previously, Ariel held positions at MD Financial Management and Veritas Investment Research, where responsibilities included managing long/short and long-only portfolios, employing quantitative methodologies and programming skills in Python. Early career experience includes serving as a Quantitative and Fundamental Equity Research Analyst at Waterfront International Ltd. and roles at RBC Dominion Securities and Batterymarch Financial. Ariel is also a former board member of the Finance & Audit Committee at the Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre.
