Osman Arfeen

Osman Arfeen is an accomplished technology professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Scotiabank since October 2015, directing software development teams focused on ATMs, Branch Products & Tools, and Client Feedback systems. Previously, Osman held roles such as Senior Development Manager, where a robust Cloud-First strategy was developed to enhance Canadian Banking products, and Senior Technical Lead, responsible for transitioning internal applications to the public cloud. Earlier experience includes roles at BlackBerry as a Security Software Developer and intern, where design and implementation of secure solutions were key contributions. Osman holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and Strategy & Disruptive Innovations from the Schulich School of Business and a BSc in Computer Security from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University.
