Deborah Ely

Deborah Ely is an experienced scientist specializing in flood risk management with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency since October 2016, where responsibilities have included GIS analysis for new flood warning schemes and extensive training in various related teams. Previously, Deborah held the position of Checkout Team Leader at Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc from October 2012 to September 2016, overseeing daily operations of the checkouts department. Deborah’s early career included a work experience role as an Engineering Geologist at Johnson Poole & Bloomer and administrative support at Colin Ely and Co, contributing to a solid foundation in both environmental science and business operations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Hydrogeology and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow, respectively.
