Kerry Davidson

Kerry Davidson is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Scrap Metal Services. Kerry has been with the company since January 2013 and has been responsible for the legal and HR functions for the large scrap metal processing and recycling company. Kerry has ensured that the three global corporate divisions and on-site mill services operations comply with all laws, rules, and regulations. Kerry has provided primary oversight of legal, risk and compliance matters, including successful dispute outcomes (litigation and ADR). Kerry has also served as the General Counsel and corporate secretary, including Board of Director responsibilities, entity formation, business records and corporate governance matters.

Kerry is a member of executive group responsible for strategic business growth, including organic efforts, structured M&A activities, expansion into international markets and change management with minimal legal costs. Kerry has also lead successful union negotiations and management (first chair - including “negative” contracts with no labor unrest, infiltration of rival union territory without jurisdictional challenge and organizing efforts). Furthermore, Kerry has served as First Chair negotiator with no outside counsel involvement in more than eight union negotiations including successor and brand-new contracts (Teamsters and Steelworkers). Lastly, they have developed and implemented key HR initiatives including management onboarding and compliance/anti-trust training program and “pay for performance” reward strategies for salaried and hourly employees.

Kerry Davidson has a certification from in , featured in Profile Magazine. Kerry also has a certification from Rush University's Master's Program in Health Systems Management in , and is an instructor there. Kerry is also the legal counsel for the Counsel" Institute for Scrap Recycling Industries, and is chair of that organization. In addition, Davidson is a charter member of the Board of Ambassadors for the Chicago Regional YWCA from 2012. Kerry also served on the Client Service Board for Levenfeld Pearlstein from 2010 to 2012, and was appointed as a "Rising Star" for Illinois Super Lawyers from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Davidson served on the Future Leaders Council for the Chicago Regional YWCA from 2009 to 2011, and they were the nominating chair for that organization from 2010 to 2011.
