Gareth Morgan is a distinguished scientist with extensive experience in amyloidosis research. Currently serving as a Research Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine since October 2018, Gareth Morgan focuses on understanding the molecular basis of systemic amyloidosis and developing innovative therapies. With a background as a Senior Staff Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute since January 2011, Gareth Morgan has specialized in studying the development of amyloidosis and exploring preventative measures. Previous roles include postdoctoral research on protein folding and misfolding at the University of Michigan and the University of Leeds, where work involved developing a system to measure protein stability in living organisms. Gareth Morgan completed a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Sheffield in 2006, following a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London in 2001. Additionally, Gareth Morgan has experience as a freelance rock climbing instructor from 2001 to 2007.
