Joke Vandemaele

Joke Vandemaele has extensive work experience as an Agile Coach and Trainer. Joke started their career in 2006 at bpost, where they became the Lead Product Owner and Coach for the eHR division. Joke then went on to work at Belgacom as an Agile Coach. From 2014 to 2016, Joke worked as an Agile Coach at Tower International, providing Scrum and Kanban coaching to the factory leadership. At Johnson Controls, they served as an Agile Coach, supporting a team handling improvement projects in the Gent cars seats factory. Joke also worked at Societe Generale Private Banking as an Agile Coach.

In 2016, they joined BNP Paribas Fortis as an Agile Transformation Coach, leading the Agile transformation coaching team and serving as the Lead Coach of the Invest Tribe. Joke worked as an Agile Coach at Unilin, helping them implement Agile practices in their IT division and later in their Digital Transformation. Joke also served as a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) at Scrum Alliance.

Currently, Joke Vandemaele is working at Agilar Benelux, a professional services organization specializing in Agile and Scrum coaching. Joke is one of the founders of the company and continues to provide Agile coaching and training services.

Throughout their career, Joke has demonstrated their expertise in implementing Agile principles and values in various organizations and industries, receiving recognition, awards, and invitations to speak at international conferences.

Joke Vandemaele obtained a Master's degree in Visual Arts from Sint Lucas Gent - Art and Science between the years 1995 and 1999, specializing in Graphical Design. Following this, in 1999 and 2000, Joke pursued an MBA in Marketing Management with a Special License in Marketing from Vlerick Business School. In terms of additional certifications, Joke obtained various qualifications including Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation in 2021, Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) from the Scrum Alliance in 2019, Advanced Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in 2018, Certified Agile Leadership (CAL 1) from the Scrum Alliance in 2017, Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in 2013, Certified Scrum Professional from the Scrum Alliance in 2009, Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in 2008, and an ICF Member Badge from the International Coaching Federation in 2021.
