Tamara Runyon, PMP, CST has a diverse work experience in various roles related to agile software development and project management. Tamara is the Founder and Managing Director of Applied Scrum since January 2008, where they offer consulting and training services. Tamara is also a Certified Scrum Trainer at Scrum Alliance since 2006.
Tamara has experience as an Enterprise Agile Coach at Intel Corporation from October 2011 to June 2014. Tamara served as a Board member at Agile Alliance from August 2008 to August 2012, where they were Secretary to the board from 2008 to 2010 and reelected for a second term from 2010 to 2012.
Additionally, Tamara served as an Agile Process Mentor at CollabNet, Inc. from February 2010 to September 2011. Tamara was a Managing Consultant at SolutionsIQ from October 2005 to December 2007 and a Senior Project Manager at Info Tech Inc. from December 2002 to October 2005. Tamara started their career as a Project Manager at Web Habitat from 2001 to 2002 and at Pathways Group Inc. from 2000 to 2001.
Tamara Runyon, PMP, CST graduated from the Washington State University - College of Business and Economics in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics. In 2002, they obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2006, they became a Certified Scrum Trainer under the Scrum Alliance. In 2012, they received the HSD Professional certification from the Human Systems Dynamics Institute. In 2017, they became a Certified Agile Leader (CAL) from the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in 2020, they obtained the Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC 5.0) certification from the Scaled Agile Academy.
