Astra Sparks has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Astra started their career as a Research Associate at Texas Woman's University in 1991 and worked there for seven years. In 1999, Astra became an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Astra then joined Cardiovascular AstraZeneca LP as a Medical Information Scientist in 2000 and was promoted to Senior Medical Information Scientist in 2002. Astra Sparks holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Texas Woman's University, which was completed in 1998. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. degree in Molecular Biology from the same institution in 1995. Before entering Texas Woman's University, Astra completed an M.S. in Biology from Prairie View A&M University in 1986. Astra began their higher education journey by earning a B.S. in Biology from Langston University in 1983. Additionally, Astra pursued an M.B.A. degree from the Texas Woman's University School of Management, although the start and end years for this degree are not mentioned.
