Dr. Florian Methling

Dr. Florian Methling is an experienced professional with a diverse background in various roles and industries. Dr. Florian currently serves as an Engagement Manager at Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at SDG from April 2020 to March 2022. Dr. Methling also serves on the Advisory Board of the non-profit organization "Förderverein Reflektiert Entscheiden e.V." at Entscheidungsnavi since January 2022. Additionally, they worked as a Freelancer at Financial Research Methling starting in January 2017. Dr. Methling's academic experience includes working as a Research Associate at RWTH Aachen University from October 2016 to September 2022, where they focused on Decision Theory, Decision Support Systems, and Investment Strategies. Dr. Florian also holds a PhD in Economics from RWTH Aachen University and has served as a lecturer for various courses, including "Strategic Decisions in Consulting" and "Financial Services". Following this, they obtained a Master of Science in Business Administration and Engineering: Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2016. Dr. Methling continued their academic journey at RWTH Aachen University, completing their education with a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Business and Economics from 2016 to 2020.
