Douglas Avery

Douglas Avery has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Douglas currently works at Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as the Director of Ecommerce, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Ecommerce Coordinator at the same company from October 2020 to February 2022. Before joining Sea Shepherd, Douglas co-founded FinX in August 2018 and served as the Chief Marketing Officer until November 2020.

In 2017, Douglas started their own ecommerce business, where they managed websites for clients and personal branded stores using drop-shipping through Shopify. As an Ecommerce Business Owner/Consultant, they were responsible for developing tailored websites, sourcing suppliers, rebranding, order fulfillment, and optimizing product pages. During this time, they also leveraged their network to connect businesses with various services such as digital marketers, photographers, and graphic designers.

Prior to venturing into entrepreneurship, Douglas worked as an Independent Reseller from February 2017 to November 2018.

Douglas Avery obtained their high school diploma with a concentration in Business/Managerial Economics from Woodbridge High School, a four-year institution, between 2013 and 2017. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at Virginia Wesleyan University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from 2017 to 2021.
