Romain Lucas has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Romain started their career as a PhD position at ManRos Therapeutics in 2011, where they successfully synthesized a final compound using complex chemical reactions. Following this, they worked as a chemist at ManRos Therapeutics for a brief period in 2015. In 2016, Lucas joined CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives as a postdoctoral research scientist, where they focused on the synthesis of new photoactivable probes and the implementation of a radioligand-EPAC1 binding assay. Romain then worked as a registered pharmacist at Pharmacie de la Boissière for a few months in 2017. From 2018 to 2020, Lucas held two positions concurrently as a postdoctoral scientist at The SGC Frankfurt and Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. During this time, they gained valuable research experience. Currently, Lucas is the Head of Chemistry at SeaBeLife Biotech, a position they assumed in October 2021.
Romain LUCAS began their education at the Université de Bordeaux in 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in Pharmacie. Romain completed this degree in 2011. In the same year, Romain enrolled at the Université Paris Cité to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chimie médicale et pharmaceutique. Romain successfully completed their PhD in 2014. Prior to their PhD, Romain also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochimie, biophysique et biologie moléculaire from the Université de Bordeaux, which they completed in 2011. Additionally, Romain is currently in the process of pursuing a Docteur en pharmacie degree in Chimie thérapeutique at the Université de Bordeaux, starting in 2015.
