Adya Beasley has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Beginning in 2007, they worked as a Morning Edition Intern at NPR and later as a Production Assistant at MTV/VH1 News and Documentaries. Adya then joined The Star-Ledger as a Multimedia Intern in 2008 before becoming a Desk Assistant at The PBS Newshour in 2009. Adya returned to The Star-Ledger as a Multimedia reporter in 2010, where they produced daily, feature, and documentary news content. In 2014, Adya joined NJ Advance Media as a Multimedia Specialist, producing various news content for The Star-Ledger and NJ.com. Adya then moved on to The Wall Street Journal in 2016, serving as a Senior Video Journalist. Currently, Adya is the VP Digital Media at Seaberry Design & Communications, where they have been working since 2019.
Adya Beasley pursued their education from 2005 to 2009 at New York University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Adya'smajor was Broadcast Journalism and International Relations, with a minor in East Asian Studies.
